Critique night is the hardest and best thing we do. You hang a piece, and the room tells you what it actually says — kindly, and honestly.

speak   say what you see, not what you'd do
listen  no defending, just notes
next    a week to act on it

Why it works

You can't see your own painting until someone else tells you what they see. That's the whole trick.
